About
Led by Green Music Australia, Party with the Planet is an alliance of festivals, promoters, and non-profits focused on reducing the waste left behind at music festival campsites. In 2021, Green Music Australia approached me to design an app in collaboration with Kellie Vella from QUT and Sarah Bock from eLearn Australia.
The app gamifies waste reduction by allowing users to create groups, share what they’re bringing, and see the sustainability impact of their choices. Illustrated by Steph Hughes, a key feature shows a world that deteriorates based on users’ decisions. I was responsible for the branding and user interface design, focusing on accessibility and usability. Using Adobe XD, I created a prototype that demonstrated group creation, gear tracking, and the onboarding process.
